Interagency Meeting - June 2026

Our monthly meeting is scheduled for the first Wednesday of each month at 10:00 AM.

June 2026 Interagency Meeting – Highlights

June’s Interagency meeting focused on expanding access to summer learning, free legal help for seniors, and mental health support in Mesquite.

  • Library & Community Events – Mesquite Library is running its summer reading program for kids and adults and preparing the October “Glitter and Gold” resource fair, which brings together nonprofits and free community resources for all ages.
  • Senior Law Program – The Senior Law Program (serving 60+ with no income qualifier) plans to bring quarterly “Ask a Lawyer” clinics and repeat its successful healthcare power of attorney workshops in Mesquite, in partnership with the senior center and library.
  • Behavioral Health – Mesquite Behavioral Health Center reports its lowest wait times in years (about 2–3 weeks) and invites the community to use its drop‑in center, support groups, and educational offerings. They are also coordinating with partners on suicide prevention trainings and a September Suicide Awareness Month event.
  • MesquiteLife.com – Agencies are encouraged to update their directory listings and submit events so residents can easily find programs, services, and activities in one place.
